Guns At The Capitol

By Wessler

Today, the Lewis and Clark Conservative Tea Party, led by Tim Ravndal, held a rally at the Montana Capitol. They claim the rally is to support the 2nd and 10th Amendments of the U.S. Constitution. As part of their rally, Ravndal encouraged attendees to bring their guns (however, he noted they must not be loaded, must have their safety on and attendees were not allowed to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol).

Unfortunately for the Tea Party, only a handful of supporters showed up to the event. In fact, most attendees noted there was more media and onlookers there than actual supporters. However, a few of the supporters who were in attendance were brandishing semi-automatic weapons.

During the rally, Ravndal was joined by legislators including Rep. Derek Skees and Rep. Bob Wagner. The Representatives in attendance attempted to defend the nonsensical bills, such as those that pursue unlimited nullification of laws. In their remarks, these Representatives often accused those who they disagree with of not knowing what is in the constitution, which is interesting considering the record number of unconstitutional bills these Representatives have introduced this year.
